Chelsea could complete Kai Havertz transfer in next 10 days as star pushes hard for deal

Chelsea could complete a deal for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz in the next 10 days with the player keen to leave the Bundesliga outfit before they face Rangers in the Europa League next week today's soccer tips.
According to Sky Sports, Havertz is pushing hard for Leverkusen to strike a deal with Chelsea so that he can become their third major addition ahead of next season.
With Frank Lampard having already welcomed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to Stamford Bridge, Havertz is seen as the next piece of the puzzle as the Blues put together a mouthwatering front-line to catapult them into title contention.
The Germany international lit up the Bundesliga this season with 12 goals and six assists, also netting five goals and laying on three assists in eight DFB Pokal and Europa League outings.
But Havertz wants to quit the BayArena before they welcome Rangers for the return leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie, it has been claimed by Sky Sports.

Leverkusen take on the Scottish giants after a 3-1 win at Ibrox back in March in which Havertz opened the scoring from the penalty spot.
But despite having one foot into the quarter-finals of the competition, the attacking midfielder, who can also play as a centre-forward and as a right-sided winger, is keen to move to Chelsea as quickly as possible rather than see out the remainder of his current club's European campaign.
Terms have already been agreed between the 21-year-old and Chelsea, who sealed Champions League qualification on Sunday in Lampard's first season in charge thanks to a 2-0 win over Wolves.
Havertz is eager to work under the legendary former midfielder and has been sold by the ex-England star's vision but the two clubs are currently locked in negotiations over a fee.
Leverkusen are keen to recoup as much as 90million for Havertz's talents, which would make him the most expensive Premier League signing of all time, surpassing the 89m fee Manchester United paid for Paul Pognba in 2016.
But it is claimed all parties are optimistic a deal can be agreed at an initial 70m which would be inflated by performance-based add-ons.
And Havertz wants talks concluded before Leverkusen return to action, meaning there could be major developments over the next week.
Chelsea's Champions League qualification gives Roman Abramovich extra finances to offer Lampard as the west London club look to close in on Liverpool and Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League.
And Michael Owen thinks Lampard will demand the cash to strengthen in goal, with Kepa Arrizabalaga having been dropped against Wolves, and at left-back where Ben Chilwell of Leicester is the manager's top target.
"I think to be specific, he'll look at a goalkeeper and a left-back as well," ex-Liverpool and United frontman Owen said on Premier League Productions soccer handicap tips.
"They're two positions Frank isn't too happy about at the moment. But they've got some exciting players. Pulisic has just come into form and it does take certain players a lot of time.
"There's a lot to be excited about and of course the two signings already are very exciting.
"Watch this space over the summer but it's exciting times for Chelsea fans."
Lampard said after the final game of the Premier League season: "In brutal honesty I would say yes [this win to seal a top-four finish affects our transfer plans]. Not to say exactly where that will go, because that's not a conversation today off the back of the game straight away.
We know that the economics of the Champions League are big, we know that. We know the prestige, top players want to play in the Champions League.
The top players that are here already, even the young players, they want to play in the Champions League.
To get too far ahead of ourselves and to be concerned for what it might mean from the outside is not a question for today, it's a question for the players that have produced today. That can improve anyway, we can all improve.
But if we're looking to recruit in certain areas then I think it may help, but those are conversations for after Arsenal, after Bayern Munich, see how we go, because now we've had a good year, we want to have a better year next year.
So we'll try to better ourselves in any way possible.
Chelsea will conclude their domestic campaign against Arsenal with the FA Cup final this Saturday (5.30pm) before playing the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Bayern Munich.
The Blues trail the Bundesliga champions 3-0 ahead of their trip to Germany and face a mammoth task to overturn the deficit and make the quarter-finals.
