Rust-Steel
1. Application:
Rust-Steel a metallic
phosphate & chromate salt being used to convert rust and ferrous metal to
continuous anti-corrosive membrane in order to protect the substrate from
galvanising corrosion and enhance adhesion properties of the paint top-coat. By
the chemical reaction, the neutral passive layer formed as an intermediate
metallic forming layer. The formed porous capillary dried layer will absorb
more portland cement solution (portlandite) into them and so enhance highly
protective properties of the passive layer for reinforcement construction
steel.
As
a acidic water soluble, Rust-Steel could
be applied by spraying, brushing, rolling...
Beside
the capacity of converting rust and ferrous substrate to inert anti-corrosive
membrane, it could be used to react with zinc metal top-coat (as zinc
galvanised, hot-dipping zinc metal, melted sprayable zinc metal...) to form
intermediate metallic layer enhancing paint top-coat adhesion into zinco-metal
substrate.
This
multi-purpose chemical converter could be applied in such application as below:
v
Temporally anti-corrosive for
ferrous substrate for painting applicable in shipbuilding, construction
steel... by protecting the ferrous metal from rust development and adhere well
on substrate surface.
v
Forming passive layer on
reinforcement construction steel to protect the substrate from galvanising
corrosion and well combination of the cementitious portlandite ingredient to
form unique and compact concrete-steel bonding layer.
v
Forming intermediate bonding layer
to enhance the best adhesion of paint top-coat to zinc-metal.
v
Forming capillary metal layer,
allows lubricating and preservative oil & fat to absorb better onto the
metallic surface enhancing the protective capacity applicable in OEM industry.
v
Forming
high electro-resistance membrane, app. 6x107 W/cm, reduce the
surface conductive capacity of the metal substrate.
